FAQs on Notifications

When do you contact me regarding my note?

We use notifications to keep in touch with you about your note. As our investor, you may choose to receive notifications in the following situations:
  • When a payment is made.

These are some of the general notifications you will receive as our investor which you may opt to turn on or off. From time to time, you may also receive other notifications about your note; such as, notifications about a specific payment and future payment reminders, if applicable.

Can I choose what notifications are sent to me?

Yes, you can select all of the alerts you can receive using this website on the Alert Preferences page. Additionally, if you want to manage a specific alert for an individual payee, you can go the Payee Details page for that payee.

When will I be notified that I have a new bill?

A notification is automatically sent to your attention as soon as a bill posts to your note.

When will I be notified that a bill has been paid?

For a paper check, you will receive a payment confirmation notification when your check is cut and mailed. For an electronic payment, you will receive a payment confirmation notification when the electronic payment is initiated.

When will you notify me if a bill is about to go overdue?

One of our primary goals is to help you eliminate past due bills and expensive late fees. We will send you a notification if a bill is due in 10 days, (you can change the default number) and we have not received any payment instructions from you. If you do not want to make a payment on this bill, simply click the File this bill link and your bill will be stored for future reference.

Why is my e-mail address in lowercase?

E-mail addresses are stored in lowercase even if they are entered in uppercase or mixed-case. For example, we would store ChrisInvestor@anywhere.com as chrisinvestor@anywhere.com.

How do I display the available notifications on the Alert Preferences page?

Just click the appropriate category link and a list of the available notifcation for that section appears.

Can I be notified in a text message on my mobile device?

Yes.

Why am I unable to deselect some notifications on the Alerts Preferences page?

These notifications are meant to notify you of any activity in your bill pay note. For security purposes, you are unable to turn them off.
